During our tests, we observed that the IQ handled pet hair well. It was able to get rid of lots of debris on floors that were not bare, and a fair amount of rug with a medium pile. It was less efficient with shag carpets. It was unable to reach dirt and dust buried within the fibers. It did a good job of navigating the legs of chairs and tight spaces, as well as the wooden base of an IKEA step stool. It was a little slower on flooring that was not fully covered, but it recovered speed and performed better than other robots that we tested.
The IQ is a better option for the majority of users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a larger dustbin, a longer battery life, and is better in navigating around obstacles. It also has mopping attachments that can handle sticky debris. The iRobot however, is better built, has fewer components that require replacement or maintenance, incurs less recurring costs, can create virtual no go zones using its companion application. The BoostIQ mode is a great feature of the eufy11S. It allows you to set up the robot to automatically adjust suction force based on the type of floor and the level of the mess. The remote control makes it simple to guide the 11S to the desired area.
