iRobot Roomba 694
The Roomba from iRobot is an entry level robot vacuum that performs well on both bare flooring and floor carpets with a low pile. It has good suction however it has trouble with larger particles such as grains of rice or sand. It is capable of cleaning pet hair, but it isn't as resistant to tangling as the premium Roomba models like the I6 and j7.
The Roomba 694 is simple to use. It has a trio of buttons on its top cover: 'Clean' starts a cleaning cycle, 'Dock' puts it back into its charging station and 'Spot Clean' activates the targeted cleaning. It can be controlled with an app for smartphones that lets you schedule or stop/start cycles, and also adjust settings. You can also pair it with smart home devices like Alexa or Google Assistant for voice-controlled operation.
This vacuum is a bit slower than other models, but it's still able get into the most crevices and corners. It comes with a large dust bin, which is great for reducing the frequency with the frequency you have to empty it. It is compatible with digital mapping and virtual barriers, which allows you to make the robot avoid certain areas or stop cleaning altogether to prevent it from getting stuck.
Although it's not the top model in its price range but it's far superior to other alternatives. The Roborock E4 is more advanced than the Roomba 694, with a much better cleaning performance on carpets that are low and bare. It also follows a more efficient cleaning path and has longer battery life. It is also more comfortable to use and has fewer components that require regular maintenance, is less expensive to maintain over its life, and charges faster than the 694.
You may also want to consider other models from the iRobot range, such as the v7 or 981. They're more expensive but they are significantly better than the 694 in terms of performance on both low and bare floors. They also follow an efficient cleaning path and come with a larger dirt compartment, are faster to charge, maneuver themselves more easily, and are easier to pair with smart home devices.
Shark RV1001AE IQ
This self-emptying robot that is budget-friendly does a good job on hard floors and low-pile carpet. Its combination brush reaches corners and edges, and it automatically boosts suction once it senses carpet. It also does a great job of cleaning dirt off carpet in the middle. The IQ's tiny footprint for docks and the self-emptying feature are both nice features. If you'd like to change the floor levels or set no-go areas, you'll need to manually reset the map.
The IQ's app has some advanced mapping and automation capabilities however, it's not able to access no-go zones, which are available on iRobot models. The smart-pathing navigation system provides greater maneuverability, and its high-pile carpet mode cleans well, although it does have a tendency to get caught up in rug tassels. Additionally, its iHome speaker lets you operate the robot by voice commands.
During our tests, we discovered that the IQ handled pet hair well. It was able to eliminate a large amount of debris on floors that were unfinished, and a fair amount of medium-pile rug. It was less efficient with shag carpets. It was unable to reach dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It did a decent job of navigating the legs of chairs and tight spaces as well as the base of a wooden IKEA step stool. It was slower on bare flooring, but it recovered speed and did better than other robots we evaluated.
The IQ is a better choice than the iRobot Roomba 694 for most applications. It has a bigger dust bin, lasts longer on a charge and is capable of moving itself around obstacles. It has mopping tools that are able to clean up sticky mess. On the other side the iRobot feels better-built and has fewer components that require replacement or maintenance and incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance and can even create virtual no-go zones with its companion app. It is able to continue cleaning where it left off even if the battery runs out before it has finished. The iRobot can also be controlled using voice, which is a huge plus for many users.
Eufy 11S
The RoboVac 11S from Eufy isn't the most feature-rich robot vacuum available but it does provide powerful cleaning capabilities at a low price. This robot vacuum is made for those who are budget conscious and do not require a complicated mapping system, or even an app to control it. This robot will last for over an hour. It comes with a remote control, cleaning tool, and AC power adapter.
The 11S is slim and sleek, and features a tempered-glass upper deck that looks like brushed aluminum. It's a nice departure from the industrial and utilitarian designs of Roomba, Samsung and Neato.
The eufy11S did well in our tests to remove larger debris and fine dust from hard flooring. However, it was unable to give medium and high pile carpeting an effective deep clean. The device is capable to bump into furniture and people along its route. However, it is able detect obstacles using sensors. It ceases and emits a loud read more noise when it encounters an obstruction. You can then manually guide the device around it and return it to working.
The BoostIQ mode is a great feature of the eufy11S. It lets you set up the robot to automatically adjust the suction strength based upon the type of floor and the amount of dirt. The remote control makes it simple to guide the 11S to the desired location.
If you don't have many furniture in the room you're looking to vacuum, Single Room Mode is an excellent option. The eufy can spend up to 30 minutes cleaning the space it is assigned.
Edge Cleaning is another option that can limit the time that is spent on each area to 20 minutes. This will increase battery life. This option allows the eufy to move in a spiraling fashion by cleaning edges and corners.

It has an onboard HEPA filter and a self-emptying bin, so you don't have to buy additional filters or a separate bag for your vacuum.
It's not as powerful as the more expensive models, but it's great for tackling staining and deep cleaning. It has two cameras on the front that provide a live feed to your smartphone. It also comes with one of the most advanced obstacle avoidance systems. It also has a big dustbin, long runtime, and a fast clean-up that is free of bumps.
